About Ross Cooney
Ross Cooney is the Managing Director and was one of the founding members of Rozmic, the developers of the emailcloud email spam protection service.
Ross has been at the forefront of spam and virus research for more than a decade. Working in partnership with some of the industry greats such as Trend Micro, Command Antivirus, Sophos and Beginfinite.
Ross has particular expertise in Linux software development and Cloud Computing. He runs the Gateshead & Newcastle-upon-Tyne Amazon Web Service user group and helps to manage the SuperMondays events every month in the North East of England.
Ross also holds a number of Board positions including an executive Directorship of SuperMondays C.I.C, the Advisory Board of Codeworks Connect, a trade association for over 310 digital businesses in the North East of England and Non-Exec Director of The eBusiness Resource Centre, a wholly owned subsidiary of ONE North East.
In the past he has been nominated by the Irish Internet Association for a Net Visionary Award in the Internet Entrepreneur category and listed as a business “role model” by the Discover Your Potential campaign in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and an entrepreneur in the IfWeCanYouCan.co.uk campaign.
