Six day working week for all email delivery, effective immediately.
March 20, 2009 – 9:13 amOur emailcloud email operations will undergo a significant change in working practices effective immediately. These changes will impact on all customers of our spam protection service.
After lengthy negotiations with the union who represent 90% of our computer servers we have come to the agreement that our Sunday email service would be discontinued in an effort to lower costs while allowing sufficient ‘family time’ for our network infrastructure units.
Ross Cooney, our CTP has announced:
“Any correspondence sent after 11:59 p.m. on Saturday will now be delivered by noon on Monday,”
Furthremore:
“Users should expect further delays during national holidays or on days affected by bad weather.”
It has also been announced that further changes are in the pipeline and that it is entirely possible that all email attachments will also be charged by weight.
We hope that our customers understand that a good work life balance is important for both staff and servers at the emailcloud facility.
