CloudCamp North East, 24th March 2009

January 22, 2009 – 5:16 pm

I am really heppy to be working with a great team to help organise the upcoming CloudCamp event in Newcastle-upon-Tyne on the 24th March 2009.

the North-West event is following on from the great success of the first two London CloudCamps, and various other CloudCamps around the globe. I am really happy to be helping to run the first North East of England CloudCamp.

What is CloudCamp? It’s free and it’s an unconference where early adopters and industry leaders of Cloud Computing technologies exchange ideas. With the rapid change occurring in the industry, we need a place we can meet to share our experiences, challenges and solutions. At CloudCamp, you have the opportunity to share your thoughts in several open discussions, as we strive for the advancement of Cloud Computing. End users, IT professionals and vendors are all encouraged to participate.

The North-East England CloudCamp format is still being finalised, but it will most likely be very similar to the London format, starting with 6-8 five minute ‘Lightning Talks’ followed by 2 breakout ‘unconference’ discussions. Finally you get the chance to do some serious networking over beer and pizza – all free!

For the community’s unconference session we want you to determine the content. Please tell us what you would like to hear about, what you would like discussed, if you want to give a talk or lead a discussion. Please email your ideas to ross-at-rozmic-dot-com.
