There are quite a few services on offer. I have been using EC2, S3 and SimpleDB for around a year. I use them to run a spam filtering service called EmailCloud.com.
There are quite a few cloud computing providers, AWS is just one of them, but, I have been amazed at the simplicity, low cost, uptime and quality of the service.
If you run a startup internet company then I think you cant afford not to look into AWS.
